About the Role

As the Senior Clinician State-Wide Wellbeing, you will provide strategic and professional leadership, governance, and expert advice for Psychology services delivered in schools and regions. This may also expand to include social work, and youth work services, as required.

You will work closely with the Central Office Student Wellbeing management team and regions to support student wellbeing services across the state.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the delivery of evidence-based wellbeing services across Queensland state schools, including in regional, rural, and remote areas.
  • Providing professional advice to develop strategies, design programs, and support clinical governance.
  • Providing clinical expertise and supervision to professionals across the state.
  • Managing systems to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to meet key deliverables aligned with the department's strategic priorities.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader and Psychologist who holds:

  • Expert clinical and professional knowledge to support and influence the delivery of wellbeing services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills to drive key initiatives.
  • A collaborative and innovative approach to leadership.
  • An understanding of government priorities and the education sector (highly valued).

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Board-approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia.
