As an Administration Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and support to the Officer in Charge, Evidence Management Unit (EM) and members of the EM team. This role requires a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic and sensitive environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of administrative services, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting the operational needs of the Evidence Management team.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Process exhibits in accordance with legislative requirements, Evidence Management procedures and QPS policies and guidelines.
- Assist as required in the auditing of exhibits using inspection and verification procedures in accordance with Evidence Management guidelines.
- Receive exhibits delivered to the Evidence Management Unit and lodge such exhibits within the QPS QPrime system.
- Ensure exhibits lodged in the QPrime system are issued with appropriate bring up dates and destruction dates noted.
- Perform audits and risk management activities in relation to property held at Evidence Management.
- Assist the A04 Property Officer in the disposal, destruction and preparation for auctioning of exhibits.
- Ensure appropriate storage and retention of interview audio and video tapes, CD's and DVD's in accordance with Service Operational Procedures and other directives.
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- It is preferable that the successful applicant hold a Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or have the ability to acquire a driver's licence.
- A forklift licence and high elevation platform yellow card are preferable but not essential.
Other
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.
- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
- The successful applicant may be required to perform Overtime & On-Call services on a rotating basis requiring attendance at the Warehouse.
- This position involves some physical activity in the form of lifting and moving property. Some uniform may be supplied by Evidence Management.
