Manager - Engagement
Student Support Branch, State Schools Strategy Division
The Engagement team (Student Support branch) is focused on supporting children and young people to engage in education, training and employment, including those in contact or at risk of contact with the youth justice system. We're looking for a Manager to lead a small team developing and implementing policies and projects to support student engagement. You will ideally have experience and expertise in educational policy and project management, and a collaborative working style.

About the Role
The Manager will provide high-level management and oversight of the implementation of key student engagement initiatives, such as alternative state schooling options.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small team to develop and implement policies and projects supporting student engagement.
- Developing and delivering high-level strategic advice and briefing materials for senior executives.
- Providing authoritative and evidence-based advice and direction to senior leadership to inform program outcomes.
- Applying high-level skills to negotiate persuasively on agreements and memorandums of understanding to achieve desired outcomes on strategic policy issues.
- Facilitating stakeholder meetings and briefings to senior management.
- Proactively developing, analysing and monitoring plans, performance outcomes and risks to inform quality practice and improvement.
