We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Demonstrated knowledge of the major duties of the position with a focus on client service.
• Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of computer keyboard operations and general asset requirement needs.
• Sound knowledge and ability to execute the safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment and manual handing practices in accordance with workplace health and safety legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a small team.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to high quality customer service and equity in the workplace.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland “C” Class Driver's Licence (for a manual motor car) prior to the closing date for applicants. Interstate and international applicants must hold an equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to obtain a Queensland “C” Class Driver's Licence (for a manual motor car) immediately upon appointment.
• Applicants are required to hold a current Queensland Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence and have recent driving experience in this type of vehicle. Interstate and international applicants must hold an equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to obtain a Queensland Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence immediately upon appointment.
• Applicants are required to hold a current photographic “Workplace Health and Safety High Risk Work Licence - LF” (Forklift Licence) issued by an Australian State or Territory.
• During times when QAS operations are activated under emergent situations or conditions, this position will be required to operate outside of core business hours and will perform overtime authorised by the approving delegate in accordance with the relevant industrial instrument, including deploying with the unit.
