Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth and emerging demands. In the next decade, various large rail infrastructure investment projects and system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move. To ensure a co-ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline, TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office responsible for delivering significant rail projects, including the $5.75 billon Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project.
The LGC project will unlock the current capacity bottle neck on the South East Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Senior Advisor (Stakeholder Engagement) will coordinate and maintain stakeholder engagement and communication across a complex stakeholder environment, helping to shape and create a clear narrative for Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) project.
With a focus on the Loganlea Station Relocation (LSR) project, some of your responsibilities will include:
• Plan, manage, and implement stakeholder engagement and communication activities for the project.
• Work with and provide support to the project contractors, to coordinate and implement communication and engagement activities.
• Liaise with project managers and internal teams to identify and address stakeholder and communication issues proactively.
• Maintain knowledge of the project's activities, identifying communication trends and risks that may impact the project.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to enhance cooperation, coordination, and communication channels.
• Advise senior management on issues management, communication strategies, and improving stakeholder and community relationships.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Current driver's license.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Highly desirable
• Degree in communications or similar field, or at least five years' experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in working in high performing teams to deliver major transport infrastructure or construction projects.
Requirements of the role
• Stakeholder engagement experience: Demonstrated experience in coordinating stakeholder engagement programs and activities within complex project environments, preferably in the transport or infrastructure sector.
• Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement, and manage communication activities, as well as to provide strategic advice to senior management.
• Builds enduring relationships: Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, fostering cooperation, coordination, and enhanced communication channels to support project objectives.
• Makes insightful decisions: Excellent analytical skills to stay informed about project activities, identify trends and risks in communication issues, and develop proactive strategies for issues management and mitigation.
• Demonstrates sound governance: Ability to provide strategic advice to senior management on issues management, communication strategies, and stakeholder relationship enhancement, contributing to informed decision-making and project success.
• This role may also require some work outside of ordinary business hours as part of ongoing community and stakeholder engagement events.
