Permanent full-time and/or part-time, up to 80 hours per fortnight.

Remuneration up to $462,570 p.a. excluding superannuation.

We are currently seeking an exceptional Urology consultant specialising in endo-urology and/or uro-oncology with a strong clinical focus on urological surgical oncology.

Experience in or a desire to develop endourology (Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP)/ Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)) is highly desirable.

As a Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service employee your salary includes:

Base salary comprising of between:

  • L18 – L24 Staff Specialist
    • $103.79 - $120.56 p.h. (p/t)
    • $8,303.90 - $9,645.40 p.f. (f/t)
  • L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist
    • $124.12 - $131.60 p.h. (p/t)
    • $9,930.20 - $10,528.40 p.f (f/t)

Standard allowances (additional to base salary):

  • Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
    • $23,395 p.a. (L18 - L24 Staff Specialist)
    • $28,408 p.a. (L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist)
  • Professional development allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
    • $22,145 p.a.
  • Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
  • Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
  • Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • Annual leave loading

The Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful beaches, hinterland scenery and subtropical climate. The Health Service is located across the Sunshine Coast region, with five hospital campuses including Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) serving a population around 500,000 people.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We care for our communities through Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldier's Memorial Hospital, and Caloundra Health Service which includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. We also provide care at a number of community and mental health sites, as well as Glenbrook Residential Aged Care.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service includes a high-performing and expanding Urology department. As a Staff Specialist (Urology), you will lead innovative clinical Urology services that foster collaborative treatment and care, aiming to significantly improve patient outcomes.

The successful applicant will join a robust public service based across Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya (SCUH), and Nambour General Hospital, which together, perform all elective and emergency urological procedures, including regular access to the da Vinci robotic.
