About the work unit / facility:
The Townsville Cancer Centre at the Townsville University Hospital is the tertiary referral unit for Oncology Services for North Queensland. Oncology specialities include Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care. The Centre has a 21 bed Oncology ward with a bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy unit, and a Chemotherapy Day Unit with an Apheresis Unit.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $89,930 p.a. part-time (NG6-1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise, education, leadership and support to nursing staff; utilising clinical skills, to provide patients within the oncology ward with quality patient care and the provision of best practice.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
