About the role
The Oral Health Therapist OHS is required to deliver oral health therapy and dental hygiene services in an integrated model of care to eligible clients in dental facilities located within the West Moreton Health catchment. This role also undertakes oral health promotion activities and education with clients and stakeholders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Effective prioritisation and time management to meet and exceed client expectations, with an enthusiastic, professional, and flexible approach. This includes the ability to safely manage general and emergency patients in a clinical day.
- Proficient use of digital applications including electronic clinical record, digital radiography, online roster, Microsoft 365 suite of programs, and Queensland Health enterprise solutions.
- Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of the dental profession and using this knowledge to work according to best practice, solve problems and improve processes. This includes maintaining CPD requirements for registration in line with the Dental Board of Australia and AHPRA.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration as an Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA.
- Possession of an appropriate Use Licence issued under the Queensland Radiation Safety Act 1999.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
