Head of Department - Student Engagement (Early Years) is an integral part of the leadership team who will work with students, staff, parents and community to support student wellbeing and engagement, as well as academic outcomes for students.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
As the Head of Department - Student Engagement, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Lead initiatives that enhance the Engagement, Belonging, Wellbeing and Behaviour Support of every student in the early years.
- Work with the Leadership Team and Inclusion Team to develop proactive plans to guide support and intervention for students who are experiencing significant barriers in accessing their learning through academic, behaviour and/or social emotional engagement concerns.
- Use data and researched strategies to case manage students in the early years.
- Mentor and support staff to build their confidence and expertise, strengthening alignment with school priorities and enhancing student outcomes and opportunities
- Uphold the school values and expectations through your strong leadership skills.
- The role requires strong communication skills instructional leadership capability, data-informed decision making, and effective staff coaching and organisational skills.
The successful application will need to have the ability to build a positive, cohesive team culture focused on shared responsibility, continuous improvement, and a collective commitment to student engagement and belonging.
