About the Role
An exceptional opportunity now exists for an accomplished executive leader to join TIQ as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO). Reporting directly to the CEO, the DCEO is the organisation's trusted second-in-command, responsible for ensuring TIQ operates with discipline, agility and strong delivery capability across its domestic and international operations.
This is a pivotal executive leadership role spanning enterprise leadership, organisational performance and strategic engagement. The successful appointee will lead TIQ's corporate and operational functions across finance, governance, people, ICT, risk, legal, strategy and performance, while helping drive alignment across government priorities, organisational capability and strategic delivery.
Working closely with the CEO, Board and senior government stakeholders, the DCEO will help strengthen enterprise leadership across a highly visible and globally connected organisation. The role will also support Queensland's broader trade and investment agenda by enabling effective coordination, governance and performance across TIQ's international network and strategic priorities.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly credible senior executive with demonstrated experience operating in complex, international environments. You will be recognised for your ability to navigate complexity, build trusted executive relationships and lead organisational performance in fast-paced environments.
You will bring proven capability leading large corporate and operational portfolios within government, economic development, investment, trade or internationally focused organisations. Experience engaging with boards, senior stakeholders and cross-jurisdictional partners will be highly regarded, as will international exposure or experience across globally connected operations.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Pre-Employment Checks – Appointment to this role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, which may include reference checks, verification of qualifications, and validation of employment history. Pre-employment checks include;
- Criminal History Screening – Due to this role having access to sensitive information, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment.
- Right to Work in Australia – Candidates must provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Declaration of Serious Disciplinary History – Prior to appointment, candidates are required to disclose any previous serious disciplinary actions in prior employment.
- Conflict of Interest Declaration – Candidates must declare any potential conflicts of interest in accordance with public sector requirements.
- Security Clearance - A security clearance (baseline or NV1) may be required.
- Travel - Domestic and international travel may be required.
