About the Role

At the entry level role of a Senior Inspector (Industrial), you'll be part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team working directly with industry to improve health and safety outcomes in Queensland.

You'll use your technical knowledge, situational awareness, and investigative mindset to:

  • Help prevent serious injuries and fatalities
  • Hold unsafe businesses to account
  • Educate workplaces on their legal obligations
  • Influence safety culture across some of Queensland's highest-risk industries

Your contribution will support recommendations from the Best Practice Review of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and help create safer work environments for thousands of Queenslanders.

  • Strong written communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Practical experience applying safety protocols in operational or regulatory environments
  • The resilience and professionalism to manage difficult conversations and navigate challenging situations
  • Confidence engaging with people at all levels, educating, influencing and enforcing compliance when required
