About us:

Cairns Hospital Pharmacy Department offers an extensive range of services to the Cairns and Hinterland, Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). Our department employs roughly 70 pharmacists including specialists in areas such as renal dialysis, sexual health, oncology, clinical trials, geriatrics, cardiology, emergency medicine and infectious diseases. This is in addition to a large general medical, general surgical, and critical care service, and a high paced inpatient and outpatient dispensary.

About you:

In your new role you will…… 

  • As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
  • Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of pharmacy services within the local service area.
