The purpose of this role is to manage strategic supplier engagement and purchasing relationships across Supply Chain Branch, ensuring suppliers meet operational requirements, deliver value for money and support the branch's supply chain objectives.
What you'll do
In this role you will develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, lead purchasing engagement initiatives across Supply Chain Branch, support responses to supply shortages and product delivery issues, negotiate and resolve supplier performance matters, collaborate with stakeholders across Queensland Health and Hospital and Health Services, contribute to sustainable procurement strategies, identify service improvement opportunities, and provide expert advice on purchasing engagement and supply chain optimisation activities.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Has experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain environments
- Can manage strategic stakeholder and supplier relationships effectively
- Has strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills
- Can provide high-level advice on purchasing and supplier engagement strategies
- Has experience resolving complex operational or supplier issues
- Can work collaboratively across large and complex organisations
