The role:
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Informatics, this role will work directly with the Metro North Hospital Health Service ieMR Program, Clinical Informatics teams, Digital Health and Business Solutions and Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer (OCCIO).
Key responsibilities include:
- Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 and the Queensland Health commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Deliver expert clinical training, coaching, and guidance on digital applications and associated workflows to support the successful implementation of the ieMR and related systems.
- Support an evidence-based learning environment and participate in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
- Contribute to performance and development processes for yourself and others, providing support to strengthen capability and professional growth.
- Provide advice and update education resources for staff, recipients of healthcare services, carers and others in consultation.
- Assist to promote a learning culture by encouraging reflection and professional development, providing clinical teaching, in-service education, and assisting/supporting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning.
- Provide support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
- Apply organisational policies and guidelines in line with professional standards by maintaining up to date knowledge and contributing to policy review processes.
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated knowledge or experience in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of training deliverables within complex IM/ICT programs or projects.
- Ability to contribute to learning activities, including the design, creation, packaging and maintenance of education and training materials and resources (SFIA: ETMG Level 5, TMCR Level 4).

Whilst not mandatory, experience delivering classroom‑based training using a range of instructional techniques is highly desirable (SFIA: ETDL Level 4).

Whilst not mandatory, prior experience in clinical informatics, health practitioner education, digital education or ieMR is highly desirable

Well‑developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to advise, influence others and work collaboratively to support decision‑making.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, developing strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders
