About the role
- To regularly perform routine & periodic cleaning duties in accordance with the Department of Health (DoH) Environmental Cleaning Guidelines in line with Redcliffe Hospital procedures, guidelines and duty statements.
- To perform duties associated with a non-clinical support to clinical staff such as patient handling techniques and patient transportation.
- To provide waste and linen services as per Redcliffe Hospital procedures, guidelines and duty statements.
- Rotational shifts e.g. (day, evening & night), 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays may apply depending on shift and area rostered.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, standards and duty statements which impact upon the position, including contemporary Human Resource Management Requirements and Practices, Workplace Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, Equal Employment Opportunity and Health Equity and Racism.
- Compliance with all Metro North Health Mandatory Training requirements, participation in in-service training as required, and to comply with all directions that are commensurate with the 002 level as outlined in the Queensland Health Operational Services Manual.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Assist clinical staff in the positioning of patients utilising appropriate Patient Handling Techniques and undertaking the tasks under the direction and supervision of a clinical staff member such as lifting, turning and mobilising patients.
