Administrative Officer - Forest Lake State School

As the Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting daily school operations, particularly in the areas of reception, student absences, data entry, QParent management, and general administration.
This front-facing role involves frequent interaction with students, staff, parents, and the wider community, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), First Aid, correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, such as incident reports, processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
- Use a range of systems including OneSchool, Qparents and Passtab.
- Record student attendance, absences, manage late arrivals/early departures, send SMS notifications and respond to absence related calls.
- Administrative tasks including arranging appointments, coordinating stakeholder meetings, correspondence and general administration, collating student data and processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Maintaining student details on OneSchool such as medical records, scanning and uploading evidence of learning, assessment, medical reports, meeting minutes, forms and referrals.
- Interpret and adhere to departmental and school policies, guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the school.
