The focus for this position is to optimise site outcomes and ensure acquisitions are fit for purpose, align with acquisition criteria and program requirements and represent value for money for the department.

What you will be doing:
- Project managing the review, assessment, and acquisition of properties suitable for acquisition for the social housing program, in accordance with department priorities, which include the Queensland Government commitment to delivering 53,500 social and community homes by 2044.
- Applying expert knowledge and business acumen to provide considered advice and assistance to management in the coordination of forward years' acquisition programs, for the acquisition of property, to meet specific and future needs of the department.
- Managing and liaising with external service providers to enable the continuous supply of effective housing solutions.
- Liaising with other areas within the department regarding project and program delivery, policy, planning, and service delivery issues.
- Representing the acquisitions team in internal and external meetings and forums as directed, ensuring presentations are succinct, factual, and appropriate for the intended audience.
- Preparing considered, timely, accurate, and audience appropriate reports, submissions, briefs, and correspondence for management in relation to property acquisition and capital delivery.
- Demonstrate leadership by upholding high standards of probity, diligence, and care in carrying out the role, supporting other team members, and ensuring respectful and professional collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
