About the Role:

The Human Resources Officer plays a key role in supporting the effective and efficient operation of the school through the delivery of high-quality human resource and administrative support services.

Working closely with the Principal, Business Manager and administration team, this position contributes to fostering a positive, professional and people-focused workplace culture aligned with the school's values and strategic priorities.

A strong understanding of human resource processes and systems within a school environment is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, contributing to a workplace culture where employees feel respected, supported and empowered, while recognising that every interaction positively influences the culture, wellbeing and reputation of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support a range of human resource functions and workforce processes.
  • Assist with and proactively manage recruitment processes for teacher aides and cleaners.
  • Coordinate daily staff absence management and playground duty scheduling.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Principal, Business Manager and wider school community.
  • Undertake routine administrative and operational tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, inclusive and supportive school culture.

How You Will Be Assessed:

  • A current resume.
  • Contact details for two referees (one of whom should be your current supervisor).
  • A maximum two-page written statement outlining your suitability for the role.
    Your written statement should highlight your relevant experience and the qualities you would bring to the position. Further information is available in the role description.
  • A current Blue Card is required for this position.
  • A Criminal History Check will be undertaken prior to appointment if required.
