Manager, Strategy & Policy (AO8) The Cyber Security Unit within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, security incident coordination and delivers of whole of Government security services.
As a key member of the team, you will develop and manage whole of government cyber security strategy, policy and better practice guidance.

As the Manager, Strategy & Policy, you will:
• use your expert knowledge to drive research and evaluation to support the development of strategic directions for cyber security across the Queensland Government.
• take responsibility for team planning, performance management, team and workload resourcing, prioritisation and delivery
• lead engagements with a range of government and industry stakeholders to determine strategy and policy priorities
• provide expert advice in, and management of the suite of cyber security policies and better practice resources within the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) ensuring they support the strategic direction, are contemporary and meet whole-of-Government needs
• drive co-design of high-quality policy outcomes and resources through best practice policy development processes
• promote adoption and maturity of best practice cyber security across government through the identification and promotion of recognised industry standards and security practices.
