Your new role:
As an Advanced Clinical Occupational Therapist within the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Unit (GARU), you will deliver specialised rehabilitation services across complex inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is temporary part-time for 12 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation planning
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Occupational Therapists and allied health staff
- Lead service improvement, education and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, patient-centred care
About you:
You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with advanced rehabilitation expertise, strong leadership capability and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care. Skills & Experience:
- Advanced clinical expertise in geriatric and rehabilitation Occupational Therapy
- Strong leadership, mentoring and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Experience driving service improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and clinical decision-making abilities

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
