Your new role:
This is a rare executive leadership opportunity to lead a major Metro South Health hospital through a period of strategic growth, service innovation, and operational excellence.
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the 225-bed Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, patient-centred healthcare services.
Lead a large and complex Directorate of more than 1,600 FTE staff with responsibility for significant operational and financial performance outcomes, including management of an approximately $367 million budget.
Drive service innovation, workforce capability, and sustainable business improvement initiatives in partnership with clinical streams, executive leaders, and key stakeholders across the health system.
Foster a high-performing, values-driven culture focused on safety, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient outcomes.
About you:
We are seeking a highly accomplished executive leader with the vision, capability, and influence to lead complex healthcare operations and deliver outstanding organisational outcomes.
Proven executive leadership experience within a large and complex health service environment, with a strong record of delivering strategic and operational performance outcomes.
Demonstrated expertise in business planning, financial and resource management, governance, and implementing innovative service delivery models that improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across government, clinical, academic, and community sectors.
A values-based leader who fosters high-performing multidisciplinary teams, drives positive workplace culture, and champions safety, quality, equity, and continuous improvement.

About Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital:
The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
