About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000).
Rockhampton Mental Health Service Inpatient Unit, Older persons Inpatient Unit and Acute Care Team are located on the campus of Rockhampton Hospital. The Rockhampton Mental Health Community Services Team is located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Rockhampton. The service maintains strong links with the specialised mental health services in southeast Queensland.
About the role:
The Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service is a state-wide service which established as part of the Adolescent Mental Health Extended Treatment Initiative, to provide an integrated continuum of care for adolescents requiring mental health interventions in Queensland. The Mental Health Clinician, Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service will:
- Provide collaborative system-based care to high risk and difficult to engage adolescents (13-18 years) as part of the Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service.
- Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, community-centred, mental health interventions and ongoing assessment for adolescents who require higher intensity services including risk assessment; crisis management; safety planning treatment; rehabilitation and support to recover from mental illness.
- Demonstrate expertise in providing a high level of comprehensive and flexible mental health services in a specialised area of clinical practice involving the delivery of an assertive outreach service.
About you:
Eligible practitioners are required to achieve and maintain Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status and undertake roles and functions in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2016.
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $7,223 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h. (HP4NRG7)
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h. (NRG7)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
