Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility (Eventide) is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and is located in Charters Towers. The facility provides residential care for older persons who require specialised nursing care due to fragility and complex care needs.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (NG7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
The Nurse Unit Manager provides leadership in the planning, coordination, management and delivery of nursing services within the facility. The role is responsible for the effective management of human, financial and material resources within delegated responsibilities and accountable cost centres.
The Nurse Unit Manager provides clinical and operational leadership to the Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Manager, while reporting directly to the Director of Nursing. The role also works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary management team to support person-centred service delivery, continuous improvement and positive organisational outcomes.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable)
- Travel is a requirement of this role.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including NDIS worker screening checks.
