The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Nuclear Medicine Technologists - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Evaluate and contribute to the development of clinical practices
  • Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors
  • Undertake high level Nuclear Medicine duties within a multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Scientist
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time (two positions)
  • Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $ 137 918 per annum

About Us  

The Medical Imaging Service delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at Southport (Gold Coast University Hospital) and a Level 4 service at Robina. The Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework (version 3) describes these services as:

  • A Level 6 service at Southport provides a wide range of imaging services and complex, on-site interventional and neuro-interventional procedures, Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Computerised Tomography (CT), Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services on-site.
  • A Level 4 service at Robina provides fixed-room fluoroscopy, on-site CT services, MRI, complex ultrasound, interventional radiology Tier A, and mammography and interventional breast imaging services.
  • The Nuclear Medicine service within Gold Coast Health include:
      • Radiopharmacy (Nuclear Medicine and PET)
      • General Nuclear Medicine and SPECT / CT
      • PET / CT including diagnostic CT with contrast
      • On Site Galium-68 synthesis
      • BMD (located in Medical Imaging)
      • Research, Clinical Trials and Theranostics
