Your new role:
As a Hospital Ambassador, you'll help create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for patients, visitors and staff through proactive engagement, compassionate communication and strong teamwork by:
- Proactively engaging with patients and visitors to enhance their hospital experience
- Using verbal de-escalation and interpersonal skills to reduce aggressive or disruptive behaviour
- Building positive relationships with clinical teams including Nursing, Mental Health, Security and Allied Health staff
- Providing way-finding assistance, general support and practical information to patients and visitors
- Monitoring designated clinical areas and reporting any concerns relating to patient wellbeing or safety
- Participating in multidisciplinary briefings and contributing to behaviour support strategies
- Supporting a respectful, inclusive and patient-focused healthcare culture
About you:
You are a calm, empathetic and professional communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering positive customer experiences within healthcare settings with:
- Experience working in customer service, healthcare, community services, security or support-focused environments
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
- The ability to remain composed and exercise sound judgement in challenging situations
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong observation, problem-solving and situational awareness skills
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays
- A commitment to safety, respect, professionalism and inclusive care

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
