About your role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the supervision and direction of allied health professionals to support the delivery of patient care across a range of clinical settings.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with individual and group therapy programs as delegated by allied health professionals
- Support patients with personal care, manual handling and transport
- Prepare, monitor and maintain therapy equipment and clinical resources
- Contribute to patient documentation in line with organisational requirements
About you
You are a compassionate and team-focused individual who enjoys supporting patients and working collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
You will demonstrate:
- The ability to provide patient interventions under the direction of allied health professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work weekends and across a range of healthcare settings
This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
