About the role
Lead medical strategy and clinical governance across Metro North Health, providing executive leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Drive workforce performance, service innovation, and system-wide improvements in clinical and operational outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide strategic and executive leadership to drive clinical excellence, governance, and organisational performance
- Lead and manage the medical workforce, including planning, recruitment, education, and professional development
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver integrated, patient-centred healthcare services and address complex challenges
- Oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and compliance with safety standards and legislative requirements
- Lead system-wide initiatives including emergency management, access and capacity coordination, and business continuity planning
