About the Role
As a School Supervisor, you will be accountable for the supervision and performance of school principals across some of Queensland's 1,290 (and growing) schools and help deliver the department's vision: Excellence in every state school, through our focus areas of educational achievement and belonging and engagement (Brighter futures education strategy).
Reporting to the Regional Director, School Supervisors act as the bridge between the broader education system and the frontline work of Queensland state schools. In this role, you will provide strategic direction, accountability, and supervision to school leaders to monitor and deliver educational improvement and management of schools from K-12 (including state-delivered kindergartens where applicable).
School Supervisors play a critical role in connecting system priorities with frontline delivery, ensuring every state school is supported, challenged and equipped to succeed.
The role supervises a range of state schools and other education centres as determined by the Regional Director. This may include specialist areas such as Partnership Initiative and Special Schools.

- Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking skills to support lasting partnerships both within and beyond the school system.

- Strong capability in monitoring and delivering educational performance management and developing school leaders.
- Highly developed judgement, with the ability to navigate complex issues, mediate outcomes, and make sound decisions.
- A deep commitment to achieving excellence for every student and community across Queensland state schools.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
