About the role:
- Lead with impact and provide strong clinical leadership and operational management to drive clinical excellence and deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care in the Interim Care specialty.
- Take the reins of the clinical unit with full accountability for strategic and day-to-day operations, including financial and human resource management, clinical governance, resource optimisation, quality improvement, and achievement of service performance targets.
- Be the expert voice by applying advanced clinical knowledge and specialist expertise in Aged Care, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team and broader Central Queensland Health team to influence positive patient outcomes and integrated care.
- Grow people and practices by fostering a positive learning culture through mentoring, education, professional development and research initiatives while inspiring continuous improvement and innovation within the nursing team.
About you:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory for this position. Strong clinical knowledge and a demonstrated passion for Aged Care, ideally supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications and leadership experience in aged care or sub-acute settings is highly desirable.
- You excel at leading and motivating nursing teams in a multidisciplinary environment, applying contemporary leadership principles, effective resource management and budget oversight to achieve high performance.
- You are a quality and safety champion with deep knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, risk management, and quality improvement processes, capable of creating and maintaining a safe, high-standard clinical environment.
- You possess high-level communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations, build positive relationships, and drive continuous improvement across all levels.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
