Based in Weipa, the position works in a Rural Generalist model of care, contributing to the primary health care in surrounding communities, as well as emergency care, inpatient and acute care for the broader community.

Activites include some of the best fishing spots in Australia. Boating, camping, four-wheel driving and wildlife spotting are also popular. Enjoy sunset views over the Gulf, cultural experiences through local Indigenous communities, and seasonal events.  Despite its remote location, Weipa has a good range of amenities including a hospital, schools, childcare, supermarket, retail stores, sporting facilities, golf course, aquatic centre, gym and local airport with regular flights.   Overall, Weipa offers a unique blend of professional opportunity with outdoor adventure, ideal for those seeking a meaningful role in a close-knit regional community.

  • Salary Information (L13-L17, L18–L24, L25–L27): 
    • Total remuneration value of up to $446,109  (L17) comprising  Base salary between $187,569 - $211,057  (L13-L17)
    • Total remuneration value of up to $528,803  (L24) comprising  Base salary between $216,643 - $251,642  (L18-L24)
    • Total remuneration value of up to $556,089  (L27) comprising  Base salary between $259,072 - $274,678  (L25-L27)
  • Competitive Salary packaging: Generous employer superannuation contribution - 12.75% and salary packaging options Salary and benefits | Careers (health.qld.gov.au)
