The Process 

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual employment opportunities. As a key member of our team, you will provide efficient administrative and customer service support to patients, visitors and hospital staff while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer and patient enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face interactions
  • Provide professional front counter and reception support
  • Accurately update patient information using hospital information systems
  • Coordinate patient appointments, bookings, transfers and discharges

About you:

You are a highly organised and customer-focused professional who thrives in a busy team environment.

  • Previous administration, reception or customer service experience
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital administration will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

The Princess Alexandra Hospital provides world class health care to adults in Brisbane City's southern suburbs. We employ more than 6,000 staff and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres.  We provide emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant. By 2027, we'll have more beds and more treatment spaces as part of the Princess Alexandra Hospital expansion.

A role in administration at the PAH means supporting patients, staff, and daily operations across areas like patient services, ward administration, and executive support.
