The Office of the Information Commissioner is seeking a People and Culture Administrator to support its People and Culture function by providing workforce advice and administration support across the employee lifecycle. This role combines advisory responsibilities with operational administration, while delivering key People and Culture services. This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to someone who is highly organised, adaptable, solutions-focused and confident managing competing priorities. The is a permanent opportunity, offered either full time, or 0.9 FTE (9 days) per fortnight.

The Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) plays an important role in Queensland's integrity framework and is an independent statutory body that reports to Parliament. We have statutory functions and powers under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) to uphold greater and easier access to information held by government agencies, assisting agencies to understand their obligations under the RTI and IP Acts, and use our regulatory powers to improve compliance.

About the Role
Are you a proactive and organised HR professional with experience providing workforce advice across the employee lifecycle, including interpreting and applying public sector Awards, Agreements, and legislation, have strong workforce administration skills, payroll and establishment expertise, excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely solutions?
This role offers a dynamic mix of advisory and operational administration responsibilities, including:
- Provide workforce advice and interpret legislation, awards, and policies
- Manage the administration of records, payroll and establishment information, recruitment, and onboarding processes
- Support HR systems, reporting, and compliance activities
- Assist with industrial relations, culture and engagement initiatives
- Contribute to policy development, people and culture projects, and process improvements.
