Located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, our Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a 10-bed rural facility within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Nestled along the Leichhardt Highway near the Dawson River, the service delivers essential healthcare to the local community, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, residential aged care, and telehealth support.

About the role:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in line with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council standards, while protecting patient rights and working within scope of practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, using strong clinical judgement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Support continuous quality improvement by following policies and procedures, participating in safety activities and promoting high standards of patient care.
- Contribute to education and professional development by fostering a supportive learning environment, undertaking ongoing training and providing health education to patients and staff.
- Demonstrate professional leadership through teamwork, innovation, research participation and a commitment to patient safety, quality care and improved health outcomes.
About you:
- Registered Nurse qualification with a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) are mandatory for this position.
- Experience in Emergency Nursing, Rural Nursing with up-to-date Advanced Life Support and IV Cannulation would be advantageous.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality clinical services.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, conciliation, and well-developed written skills.
- Possesses nursing knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $67,295 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
- An hourly rate between $55.07 - $70.64 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
