About us:

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, is part of the Central Queensland Health (CQ Health). Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a 10-bed facility that provides a range of health services to the community, including emergency, inpatients and outpatients, residential aged care and telehealth services.

About the role:

  • Provide direct and indirect care, engage in reflective and analytical practice, and demonstrate professional and collaborative practice.
  • Demonstrate a greater depth of knowledge, skills, experience, competence, and more effective integration of theory to practice than a Nurse Grade 3.
  • Participate with other members of the healthcare team in providing support and mentorship to new and less experienced staff.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife in clinical and organisational governance through active participation in team leadership and decision making.

About you:

  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A relevant advanced diploma or associate degree is highly desirable for this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe may form part of the performance and development.
  • Collaborates with the Registered Nurse (RN), the person receiving care and the health care team when delivering care plans.
  • Provides skilled and timely care to people whilst promoting their independence and involvement in decision-making.

 What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $62,839 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.44 - $43.98 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
