About your opportunity
The Nurse Practitioner Prison Health Service, within credentialed scope of practice, provides nursing leadership, clinical governance, case management and complex clinical care and support for patients within the correctional environment. The role includes the key co-ordination functions of complex evidence-based care delivery across a continuum, business and materials management, and education provision for patients and their family /carers and staff.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $157,579 to $164,519 p.a. (Nurse Grade 8)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Qualification: Master of Nursing Science (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Adult Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus. Whilst prison craft and AODS/OST knowledge, experience and exposure will be an advantage and well received, it will not be essential, as training in OST will be provided.
- On-call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
