About us:
he Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) is responsible for delivering services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and for supporting other Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will....
- Work with families and client's communities to promote recovery and community inclusion, co-ordinate/facilitate access to generic supports, services, opportunities and resources necessary to meet the consumer's identified needs and goals.
- Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Effectively communicate at all levels across the organisation and with external stakeholders, including non-government organisations, consumers and their carers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care.
