Who We Are:
Calliope State High School is a modern and well maintained rural high school that opened in 2020.
We are located 20 minutes from Gladstone and the beaches of Tannum Sands.
Our school caters for 450 students and promotes a variety of pathways, both vocational and academic.
We are a small executive team working to build a collaborative and respectful culture of shared accountability for our leaders and staff.

The successful applicant will have portfolio responsibilities aligned with the schools AIP - Building an expert teaching team and a quality curriculum.
Possibility for subsidised housing through the Local Accommodation Committee.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing instructional leadership to ensure high quality teaching, learning, assessment and moderation practices informed by evidence and data.
- Junior secondary curriculum development, implementation, moderation and quality assurance.
- Junior Secondary (7-9) student management and wellbeing
- Whole school timetable
- Line management of Heads of Department
