This is a temporary full-time position for 6 months, to commence from 13 July 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the role

As the Guidance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide expert counselling and support to students on personal, social, emotional, and educational matters.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student wellbeing, resilience, and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' individual needs.
  • Deliver proactive programs and workshops that promote mental health, positive relationships, and career development.
  • Assist students with career planning, subject selection, and post-school pathways.
  • Support the school community in managing complex student welfare issues, including crisis intervention.
  • Promote the school's values of Respect, Belonging, and Growth in all interactions with students and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student feels valued and empowered.
