Role details
The Clinical & Service Governance Credentialing Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Credentialing and Compliance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
- To provide specialist expertise and guidance in developing, implementing and maintaining a range of governance controls, solutions, auditing monitoring and reporting to support the Mackay Hospital and Health Services' (MHHS) in the requirement to ensure that all credentialing processes are compliant with current Queensland Health policy, directives, standards and legislation.
- This position is responsible for supporting the Executive Director Medical Services to co-ordinate the Credentialing activities of the health service at the highest level and ensure comprehensive and accurate advice is available to the Heath Service Chief Executive and the MHHS Executive Leadership Team in relation to SoCP for Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals.
- The Credentialing and Compliance Officer will also manage credentialing emergent issues, inclusive of Ministerial or Health Service investigation / legal information request pertaining to Credentialing.

The Medical Workforce Management and Credentialing Unit Mackay Hospital and Health Service provides strategic advice and support to the HHS on all aspects of Medical Officer recruitment, selection, credentialing and scope of clinical practice (SoCP).
