About us:

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) operates an extensive network of rural and remote facilities across Far North Queensland, including regional hospitals, multi-purpose health services, and community health centres. These facilities provide essential acute, primary, and community care to geographically diverse and often isolated communities, ensuring patients can access safe, high-quality care close to home. The rural network supports a broad scope of services and works collaboratively with larger hospitals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care across the region.

We are looking for casual AINs to join our rural teams- the role is ideal for someone who values community connections, enjoys working in diverse clinical environments, and is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

About your role:

  • Provide personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, continence care, and mobility
  • Support nursing staff in delivering safe and effective clinical care under supervision
  • Assist with mealtime support, hydration, and nutritional needs
  • Promote patient comfort, dignity, and independence at all times
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture
