The Recruitment Officer is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end recruitment for frontline officers, frontline support and corporate support staff, to ensure the QAS can continue to provide ambulance services to the Queensland community.
The role provides advice and support to management and staff within the QAS in relation to a broad range of recruitment and selection processes and procedures. The role is also responsible for application correspondence, candidate management, selection and appointment activities and documentation, establishment management, employee movements, case management and the provision of advice regarding employment conditions.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of contemporary recruitment/HR principles and practices and demonstrated experience in providing advisory and consultancy services to management and staff on a wide range of human resource management matters.
- Demonstrated project and time management skills to ensure effective planning and prioritisation of tasks to achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and oral / written communication skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating and resolving HR issues and evaluating and improving recruitment/HR practices and processes.
- Demonstrated high level administrative skills and the ability to provide effective and efficient administrative support, with proven capabilities in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service.
