Senior Engineer (Civil)

Demonstrated capability to analyse data, identify trends, risks, and root causes and support effective mitigation planning. Promotes collaboration, shared goals and clear performance outcomes within teams.
Shows resilience, supports others to overcome challenges and applies sound professional engineering judgement while guiding others. Understanding of traffic and transport management principles is essential.
Qualifications and experience in road operations, traffic, and asset management are highly regarded.

In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil) is to work with a variety of stakeholders to contribute to the safe and efficient movement of people and freight across the State controlled Road network.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Monitor and control heavy vehicles access onto the State-controlled Road network by applying engineering judgement to the impacts of freight on road assets and road user safety.
• Maintain data regarding limitations on freight access to the state-controlled road network and provide advice to various stakeholders on the fluctuating pressures of freight access on the road asset.
• Undertake road safety engineering investigations and consider and advise on road safety treatments in response to internal and external enquiries or road crash investigations.
• Monitor road asset performance, undertake reviews, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support efficient and effective road asset management.
• Determine, supervise and mentor on matters relating to engineering requirements.
• Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to freight access, road safety and asset performance.
This position is available at Toowoomba or Warwick.
