The Department of Housing and Public Works is seeking full-time Housing Officers to join the Mount Isa Housing Service Centre.
These positions are primarily office-based but involves regular fieldwork within Mount Isa and the region.
Starting Salary: $77,354 per annum (AO3 classification) $2,965.00 gross per fortnight, plus up to 12.75% employer superannuation contributions and annual leave loading.
Salary Progression: The AO3 classification offers four incremental pay levels, with annual increases over four years, reaching a maximum salary of $85,833 per annum.

The Mount Isa Housing Service Centre is looking for passionate, caring Housing Officers to join our team and make a real difference in the community! As a Housing Officer, you'll support customers with applications, tenancy, and property management, helping them build the skills to sustain their tenancies and improve their lives.
Field work is a regular requirement of this role. Conditions in the field are changeable and can be volatile, requiring varying degrees of vigilance and management of risk. This role also requires overnight travel across our region, which extends from Karumba to Boulia and Hughenden to the Northern Territory border.
Planned travel, typically ranging from 2 to 4 nights, will be arranged in consideration of your availability.

Further Entitlements:
Leave Entitlements: Employees are entitled to five weeks of annual leave per year, which includes a mandatory closure period over Christmas and New Year.
Regional and Remote Incentive: After six months of continuous employment, you will be eligible for a Regional and Remote Incentive payment of $3,750, which will continue to be paid every six months thereafter.
Locality Allowance: For staff based in Mount Isa, a fortnightly locality allowance is provided. This allowance is $45.80 for employees without dependants and $91.60 for those with dependants. Resume including a cover letter detailing your transferrable skills is required.
