Senior Medical Officer - General Practitioner with Special Interest

This position of Senior Medical Officer or Visiting Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPwSI) will provide provision of General Practice services to patients in accordance with the standards of the discipline and the ethics of the profession. Provide advanced General Practice services in a subspecialty area, transgender and gender diverse children and adolescents, within a tertiary setting & ensure the provision of high quality, safe and family centred care within CHQ HHS within the agreed scope of experience and qualifications.

About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

- Undertake clinical responsibilities including on-call, providing patient care, liaison with other units and referring hospitals, and maintaining appropriate records and confidentiality, including obtaining and documenting consent.
- Provide ethical decision making and effective issues management and communication in the achievement of organisational goals, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner.
- Actively contribute to the hospital and health service and professional
- Actively participate in the delivery of contemporary, evidence-based, multidisciplinary models of care, inclusive of inpatient, outpatient, outreach and tele-health.
