About the role:

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (AODS) Consultation Liaison, you'll be the calm, capable, go-to expert helping patients at Rockhampton Hospital access specialist alcohol and other drug support. This role is a mix of clinical leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and advocacy.

You'll provide expert advice, deliver brief interventions, coordinate complex care, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic, client-centred support plans. One minute you're navigating complex clinical situations, the next you're building partnerships, liaising with services, and translating clinical jargon into meaningful action.

It's fast-paced, rewarding, and perfect for someone who loves using both their clinical brain and people skills to make a difference.

About you:

  • You currently hold registration with AHPRA – the essentials are covered!
  • Bonus points for postgraduate qualifications in Alcohol & Other Drugs or advanced nursing practice.
  • Solid expertise in AODS, with the confidence to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
  • Sharp clinical judgement and problem-solving skills (complex care is your comfort zone!).
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills! From supporting patients to liaising with services, you've got it covered.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,447 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
