The Cyber Security Unit within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides responsible for progressing Government cyber security capability. The team provides cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, security incident coordination as well as managing a number of whole of Government security services.
As a key program leader within the team, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of cyber security programs, translating strategic direction into integrated program outcomes across multiple initiatives and stakeholders. You will analyse critical cyber security needs across diverse government entities and align program priorities to support organisational and whole-of-government objectives.

As the Senior Cyber Program Manager, you will:
• Drive the strategy, delivery, and governance of cybersecurity initiatives. Leverage deep technical and analytical expertise to document program requirements, analyse security data, and deliver measurable risk reduction.
• Support the undertaking of in-depth cyber security posture assessments for Queensland Government entities, identifying risks, critical needs, and strategic priorities to enhance resilience.
• Strengthen partnerships by providing proactive advice and fostering collaborative information sharing, while articulating complex security concepts and awareness of cyber threats to drive win-win outcomes through clear communication and engagements.Coordinate and deliver advice, training and awareness on information and cyber security both directly and through events and communities of practice to maximise stakeholder awareness of cyber threats and opportunities to improve organisational security posture.
• Collaborate with intra and inter-jurisdictional entities including the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), Australian Signal Directorate (ASD) & Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) to ensure consistency of message, advice and approach and to coordinate joint events, training and communications.
• Critically evaluate cyber information gathered through delivery of program/s to support Queensland government entities to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks, ensuring compliance with mandated frameworks, standards, and legislation.
