Join Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and make a meaningful impact as a Senior Program Support Officer (HR) in the North Queensland Region. Based in Cloncurry, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, contemporary HR services and partner with leaders to support a diverse workforce across remote and regional communities. The NQ Region spans Far North, North West & Northern districts, covering more than 589,000 square kilometres (38.2% of Queensland) supporting over 546,000 people across 35 local government areas.

In this dynamic position, you will provide proactive, front-line HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle. Your work will include recruitment and selection, performance and conduct management, organisational change, workplace health and wellbeing, rehabilitation, and case management. You will also contribute to workforce reporting, HR initiatives, and the development of policies and practices that align with the broader industrial framework.
You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, coach, and guide leaders, and deliver practical, solutions-focused advice. The role also involves analysing HR data, preparing correspondence, and contributing to continuous improvement and governance across the region.
We're seeking a proactive and capable HR professional who:
• Has experience providing HR advisory services across complex workplace matters
• Can interpret and apply HR policies, procedures and industrial instruments
• Demonstrates strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problemsolving skills
• Is confident coaching leaders and influencing positive workplace outcomes
• Can analyse information and provide clear, evidence-based advice
You will work collaboratively within a community of HR practitioners and play an important role in supporting organisational capability and service delivery outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
• Current ‘C' class driver's licence
• Ability to undergo a criminal history check
• Demonstrated knowledge of human resource practices and frameworks
