Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic to coordinate and deliver critical electrical project activities across Metro South Health facilities, ensuring infrastructure, plant and equipment remain safe, compliant and operational. You will:
- Coordinate electrical project activities, isolations, shutdowns and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) processes across hospital facilities.
- Provide technical leadership and support to trades staff, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to prescribed standards.
- Review project documentation, switching sheets, staging plans and compliance requirements to support operational continuity and minimise disruption to patients and staff.
- Manage project resources, contractor coordination, risk management and maintenance systems to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
About you:
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable electrical professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You are:
- Trade qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic with demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, infrastructure or project coordination within complex facilities environments.
- Skilled with understanding of electrical safety systems, isolations, compliance requirements and industry legislation, with experience coordinating LOTO processes highly regarded.
- An excellent communicator and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across operational, clinical and contractor teams.
- A solutions-focused leader who can prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Maintenance Services, Assets & Infrastructure Division
Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
