About us:

Cairns Sexual Health Service (CSHS) is a community service located within the Cairns North Community Health Centre. It provides quality sexual health services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital Health Service.

Cairns Sexual Health Services is a large clinic providing free and confidential STI testing, HIV and BBV, contraception, fertility control,  and  transgender care. Core clients include youth, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people living with HIV, gender diverse, and those seeking pregnancy options. The multidisciplinary team includes doctors, CNCs, clinical Nurses, a social worker, psychologists, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, and Health Promotion staff.

We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.

About your role:

  • Integrate quality management processes into all activities to ensure effective and efficent systems, thereby promoting and maintaing a client focus to service delivery.
  • Promote healthy team functioning by effective communication and participation in all aspects of the Service, whilst acknowledging the importance of a respectful workplace.
  • Provide secretariat support to meetings and relevant committees. This support will include coordination of meetings, preparation of agendas, recording and distribution of minutes, management and follow up of actions.
  • Knowledge of Queensland Health Polices and Procedures in relation to Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.
