Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Team Leader – Nurse Manager to lead the Logan Central Child & Youth Mental Health Service and Youth At Risk Service (YARS) teams in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused and person-centred care.

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering a positive practice environment, strong team cohesion and a culture of continuous improvement, learning and professional development.
  • Manage human, financial and material resources, including workforce planning, budget oversight, service performance and quality and risk management activities.
  • Drive innovation, service improvement and strategic initiatives aligned with Metro South Health objectives, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and promoting best practice clinical governance.

About you:

We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative nursing leader with extensive child and youth mental health experience and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding healthcare outcomes.

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise and operational management experience within child and youth mental health services, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex healthcare environments.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence positive change and support evidence-informed practice.
  • Proven capability in managing workforce performance, service delivery, budgets and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centred care and safety.
  • A registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional development, research and leadership excellence.
